Quotation is a serviceable substitute for wit

I knew this day would come. I’ve been anticipating it, you see. Perhaps the novelty has worn off? Perhaps I’ve just run out of things to say on this blog.

I literally couldn’t think of a thing to write. So instead I’m leaving you with a handful of my favourite quotes I’ve collected over the years. Some of these are famous, others less ubiquitous. But as Oscar Wilde always said, “Quotation is a serviceable substitute for wit.”

Indeed it is, Oscar. Indeed it is.

Here’s one I find very useful: “It’s easier to critique than create. “. Keep on creating!

I love quotes. My favorite quote is by Shakespeare. ” Time and the hour runs through the roughest day”. Sometimes when things arnt going well I will say this to myself. X

“Ya dance with them that brung ya!” My dad’s go-to quote.
“They is who they is, they ain’t what they ain’t!” My Grandpa’s saying.
“She is acting like Cleopatra, Queen of De Nial!” Mine!

I am sure you have lots more to add to the conversation. It doesn’t have to be perfect just true to you 🙂

    • Go outside and get the stink blown off ya is my favourite. I should add it in.
